Pile Style
Drowning in piles of files? Does your desk looks like a disaster zone ? Maybe you can't even see your desk? Try these top 3 tips to de-pile your files!
- Open all mail over your bin - a square or rectanagle bin large enough for A4 - and immediately chuck unwanted paperwork.
- Create a zone or place for everything in your office. Action zone, reading zone, pending zone.
- Triage your paper as it comes in - Don't feel you have to deal with everything immediately. Put it in appropriate places & schedule time to deal with it. So the initial 'incoming' is a sorting excercise with minimal time spent on content.
