Hello [FIRSTNAME],

Trying to Save Money?
Get organised and see your bank balance INCREASE. Three quick tips:
Keep discount vouchers, gift certificates and offers in a clear plastic sleeve/folder in a visibile place. Keep them loosley in the order they expire.
Schedule a time to do the boring task of rationalising your bank accounts. Reseach better rates, shave down and streamline to save on those fees.
And of course don't forget the great way to sell your stuff locally (for those of you in and around Cairns) Want more ideas......?

Perfect or Successful?
Do you ever feel like you're spending too much time perfecting a project?
Is there a legitimate reason? Or is it merely a display of a latent obsessive side? Perhaps it's another form of procrastination - hours perfecting one project prevents you starting the next one. Or it may simply be a habit, a stubborness to move on. Next time you feel you are spending too much time on something - anything: an email, packing a suitcase, researching a new purchase, ask yourself WHY? Also ask yourself "Can I make this a success without making it perfect"?

Get Those Passwords In Order
and keep them secure......a friendly word from Rob Rutten, our Resident Geek

Have you got a head full of hard to remember passwords? Or even worse - do you change your passwords all to the same one to keep things simple? Well, the bad news is that even if no one knows the name of your childhood pet the chances are that this name is on a list of passwords somewhere. Unfortunately, people trying to crack your passwords are among the most organised people around - so it's up to you to stay one step ahead of them. (yes, they also know the trick of replacing letters with numbers!)

The basic rule is to keep your password long and random using a mixture of characters. This generally makes it hard for us mere mortals to remember them. One idea is to remember a phrase, or a stanza of a song that is familiar to you and use the first letters of those words with a mixture of upper and lower case letters. For example, the phrase "It's a long way to the shop if you want to rock and roll" can be used to remember the password " ialw2tSiywtRar ". Here I have used numbers where appropriate, and made any word that could be a noun a capital.

In hard core security theory - it's still not quite as good as a random password, but it's almost as good and much easier to keep organised in our heads.
